2 parts cocoa butter
1 part shea butter
1 part mango butter
2 parts virgin coconut oil
Essential or fragrance oil of choice
Melt the butters and oil in a double boiler. Remove from heat, and add the essential oil (at 1 – 2% of your recipe) or fragrance oil (at 1 – 3% of your recipe.) Pour into deodorant containers or jars. Cobalt blue glass jars, like the ones pictured above from Mountain Rose Herbs, will help keep light sensitive essential oils used in your recipe from being affected by light.
