Ingredients:

2 oz. Dead Sea Clay Powder
1 oz. Bentonite Clay
.1 oz. dead sea salt
.05 oz. light agave syrup
.2 oz. hazelnut oil
.3 oz. castor oil
2 oz. aloe vera gel

Directions:

Using a digital scale weigh out all the ingredients, combining the dry ingredients first in a bowl and mixing with a fork followed by the wet ingredients. Mix well.

To use simply apply the mask to your face and allow to set for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Use once a week for normal, oily or acne prone skin. For normal to dry skin try substituting the bentonite clay with Rhassoul clay and using .4 oz. sunflower oil and .1 oz. castor oil in lieu of the oils and amounts in the above recipe. Or experiment with other oils like meadowfoam seed oil to find your perfect detoxifying face mask recipe.

Keep the mask stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry location between uses. Small pantry (traditional canning) jars or glass salve jars make a perfect choice!

Ingredients:

.25 oz. Argan oil
.5 oz. fractionated coconut oil
.25 aloe vera gel
.3 oz. clear or natural jojoba oil
.2 oz. Cyclomethicone
.05 oz. Dimethicone
1ml light agave syrup
6 drops Propylene Glycol, optional

Instructions:

Using a digital scale weigh out the argan, fractionated coconut, and aloe oil as well as the Cyclomethicone and Dimethicone into a glass Pyrex measuring cup or medium glass or plastic beaker. Using a graduated plastic transfer pipette measure out the agave syrup and add it to the mix, then use a fresh pipetted to add six drops of the propylene glycol. If you wish to add a fragrance, add .1 oz. of fragrance oil of your choice. Stir to mix then using a funnel pour into a glass bottle with a fingertip mister and twist on the cap. Shake vigorously to comine all ingredients.

Because of the aloe vera gel, you will need to shake the DIY Shine Spray before each use. Be sure to use an aloe vera gel with a preservative if you don’t want to add your own. Mountain Rose Herbs makes a good one.

To use very lightly mist onto damp or dry hair and comb through.

If you find this is too conditioning for your hair, simply omit the Dimethicone.

Ingredients:

1 oz. 76° melt point coconut oil
.5 oz. ultra refined shea butter
.5 oz. refined sesame seed oil
.5 oz. grapeseed oil
.5 oz. organic blue agave nectar
1 teaspoon pink kaolin clay
1 Tablespoon white kaolin (cosmetic) clay
5.5 oz. white sugar
2 Tablespoon poppy seeds
3 grams/.1 oz. pink grapefruit fragrance oil (or 1.5 grams grapefruit essential oil)

Using a digital kitchen scale weigh out the shea butter into a medium glass pyrex measuring cup. Heat in the microwave until melted, then weigh out the coconut oil and stir into the melted shea butter.
