Ingredients:

.25 oz. beeswax
.3 oz. walnut oil
.3 oz. rosehip seed oil
.25 oz. pumpkin seed oil
.25 oz. shea butter
.25 oz. evening primrose oil
.5 ml vitamin E
.1 oz. liquid green tea extract

Instructions:

You will need a digital scale to weigh out the ingredients for my anti-wrinkle green tea eye cream recipe.

Begin by using a digital scale to weigh out the shea butter and beeswax. Melt a double boiler then remove from heat. Now weigh out the walnut, rosehip, pumpkin, and evening primrose oil and stir into the melted shea butter and beeswax.

Using a graduated plastic transfer pipette measure out the vitamin E oil and stir into the cream.

Allow the natural green tea eye cream to cool completely and solidify to a creamy consistency – you can speed this up by popping it in the fridge for several hours – then weigh out the liquid green tea extract and stir into the cream.

Spoon the final product into a 2 oz. glass jar and seal. Store in a cool dry place.

Suffering from puffy eyes, dark circles or even fine lines? This DIY coffee under eye cream may be able to help!

Coffee Eye Cream DIY! This homemade natural coffee under eye cream recipe is the secret to beautiful skin! Made using homemade coffee infused oil this natural coffee infused under eye cream diminishes the appearance of dark under eye circles, puffiness and even fine lines. Plus it helps fight aging by promoting skin health! #diy #coffee #eyecream #skincare #beauty #naturalbeauty #naturalskincare #antiaging #secret

In my last post I mentioned that I had recently purchased and tried 100% Pure Cosmetics’ Organic Coffee Bean Eye Cream made with Arabica Coffee Seed Oil and Green Arabica Coffee Seed Oil and as a result concocted my own coffee bean infused oil for creating my own version of a caffeinated DIY coffee under eye cream that would help with those morning dark under eye circles, puffiness and even fine lines.

I strayed from the ingredients in 100% Pure Cosmetics product a bit but I was rather pleased with the results of my own DIY coffee under eye cream which creates a smooth, rich cream that smells like delectable coffee.

I used natural ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory properties like shea butter, olive oil and lavender & chamomile essential oils, as well as jojoba and naturally anti-aging rosehip seed oil which have skin rejuvenating properties with evidence that they reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The end product is smooth and creamy and literally melts right into skin. A little goes a long way.

You can either make this recipe for one large container or pour the cream into smaller sized lip balm pots for gifting and sharing. If you like my DIY coffee under eye cream, you can also use the coffee infused oil you make for this recipe to create my other recipe for homemade coffee lip balm.

Don’t want to make your own? You can buy artisan crafted coffee under eye cream as well as coffee under eye serums here.

This Natural DIY Coffee Under Eye Cream Recipe is made using homemade coffee infused oil which can help with puffiness, fine lines and dark circles!

Ingredients:

1/2 oz. coffee infused oil (see below)
.25 oz. jojoba oil
.25 oz. rosehip seed oil
.75 oz. shea butter
.75 oz. cocoa butter
1/2 ml lavender essential oil
1/2 ml chamomile essential oil (3% dilution in jojoba oil)
5 drops vitamin E oil

To Make Coffee Infused Oil:

Coarsely ground 3 Tablespoons of whole (unflavored) coffee beans in a coffee grinder. Combined the grounds with 4 oz. by weight of olive oil over low heat for about 15 minutes, then strain the oil using either cheesecloth or a coffee filter in a pinch.

As I didn’t have cheesecloth handy, I improvised by taping a coffee filter to the top of a cup then poured the coffee and oil into the filter. Once the majority of the oil dripped through I carefully removed the filter and then squeezed the rest of the oil out into the cup.

Instructions:

Using a digital scale weigh out the shea and cocoa butter into a glass Pyrex measuring cup. Heat in the microwave until melted, then weigh out the coffee infused oil, rosehip seed oil and the jojoba oil and stir into the melted butters.

Next, using a different 3ml Graduated Plastic Transfer Pipette for each essential oil, measure out and add the chamomile and lavender essential oils and mix into the other ingredients. Finally, add several drops of vitamin E if desired and pour into your container(s) of choice.

How to Make Homemade DIY Coffee Under Eye Cream for Dark Circles, Puffiness and Fine Lines

This DIY coffee under eye cream recipe yields approximately seven 10ml or 1/3 oz. lip balm pots or will fit into a 2 oz. container or jar.

Notes from the crafting kitchen: Keep in mind that my DIY coffee under eye cream take some time to thicken. I’ve had products like this take a day or two to thicken at room temps and up to several hours to thicken fully in the fridge.

Also, as I did go back and experiment with various coffee options, note that using pre-ground coffee beans vs. coffee beans you grind fresh as well as the intensity of the roast – light, medium or dark – will determine the final color of your oil. Pre-ground and darker roasts make a much darker oil than grinding the beans yourself and choosing a light roast. Also, straining with a coffee filter over all other methods produces a much lighter oil with fewer coffee grains sneaking through.

Also keep in mind that ingredients from different suppliers will yield slightly varying results. I do not recommend using oils from the grocery store, but rather oils meant specifically for cosmetics and soapmaking for the best results and a longer shelf life.

The perfect antioxidant rich anti aging skin care product for women over 30.

A natural beauty DIY for making your own anti aging facial serum recipe for dry and mature skin.

Is It Time for An Anti-Wrinkle Serum Skin Care Product?

The older I get the more I start to notice the fine lines on my face and the wrinkles around my eyes. Not to mention those annoying dry patches I get under my eyes whenever cooler weather strikes. While I’ve never really looked my age, at 38 I’m even more conscious of how quickly my age can catch up with me – and show! – if I don’t take care of my skin. So I created this all natural anti wrinkle face serum recipe to help keep the effects of aging to a minimum as well as to help reverse those troublesome dry spots.

This natural anti wrinkle face serum recipe is super easy to make. Just weigh the ingredients, mix and bottle. It even comes with free printable labels which make it great for gifting inside of those DIY homemade holiday gift baskets. And just a pea sized amount daily before bed does the trick. It’s also great under makeup and aids as a primer for eyeshadow to help keep your favorite eye colors in place. This anti-wrinkle face serum absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling moisturized, but not greasy. Plus there’s no overwhelming perfume fragrance like many facial products have that can irritate sensitive skin.

Ingredients:

5 grams sesame seed oil
5 grams evening primrose oil
5 grams walnut oil
2 grams macadamia nut oil
5 grams rosehip seed oil
5 grams baobab oil
9 grams tamanu oil
29 grams jojoba oil
29 grams grapeseed oil
15 grams patchouli essential oil
15 grams GMO free Vitamin E oil
2 grams rosemary extract

Supplies:

digital kitchen scale
plastic transfer pipettes (at least one of each oil)
small glass pyrex measuring cup
four 1 oz. amber glass bottles with glass droppers (or two 2 oz. amber glass bottles with glass droppers)
full page Brown Kraft sticker label

Instructions:

Ready to make your own anti wrinkle face serum recipe for your natural anti aging skin care routine? Great! Let’s get started.

Begin by placing the glass measuring cup the scale, set to measure grams and tare. Then using a plastic transfer pipette add the sesame oil to the cup until you reach 5 grams. Repeat with each oil and a fresh pipette with the weight indicated taring after each new oil is added. Then use different plastic transfer pipettes each for the patchouli essential oil, Vitamin E, and (liquid) rosemary extract to add the number of drops indicated. Stir well.

Now use a plastic transfer pipette to slowly fill each of the four 1 oz. amber bottles with 24 – 25 grams of the serum. If using two 2 oz. bottles, fill each with 48 – 50 grams of serum by weight. Cap each with a glass dropper cap and label.

To use simply apply a pea sized amount evenly to a clean face before bed. You can also add another pea sized amount to your neck if desired. Pay extra attention to areas with wrinkles or dry spots such as around eyes. For extra love, you can also use this natural facial serum before applying makeup in the morning. You’ll be amazed at how easily it absorbs without leaving any greasy, oily feeling behind.

If you like you can also include 5 grams of Sea Buckthorn Oil. I had planned to use this oil as part of this recipe but inadvertently forgot to order it. Sea Buckthorn Oil is typically used to treat damaged skin, ulcerations, scar tissue, wrinkles, eczema, and burns.

Beauty DIY with Free Printable Labels - Handmade Natural Nourishing Anti-Wrinkle Under Eye Cream Recipe - Also Great as a Salve for Dry Skin, Eczema and Psoriasis

Back in April, I introduced my natural anti-wrinkle under eye cream to Rebecca’s Soap Delicatessen. Today, I want to share that under eye cream recipe with you so you can make some for yourself or as gifts for others. I’m also including free printable labels for this natural homemade nourishing under eye cream in both black and white and color. They’re perfect for placing on the outside of a poly zipper bag that contains a lip balm sized container of this anti-wrinkle cream or for placing on the outside of larger jars.

This natural under eye cream recipe was formulated to help minimize the natural effects of aging and improve the overall condition of sensitive under eye skin. Based on my own under eye skin issues of occasional dry patches, puffiness, thinning skin and wrinkles that are starting to become visible in my late thirties, I formulated this natural under eye anti-aging cream with a combination of rich, skin conditioning oils and botanicals known for their anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and rejuvenating properties.

This natural under eye cream is also comprised 100% pure, highly prized rosewood essential oil which has been documented to aid in a multitude of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, dry and oily skin, elasticity, and wrinkles. It also contains high percentages of olive squalane – commonly referred to as a “Face Lift in a Bottle.”

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon beeswax pastilles
1 Tablespoon grated carnauba wax
.3 oz. kokum butter
.3 oz. cocoa butter
1 oz. shea butter
1/2 teaspoon hemp seed oil
1 teaspoon evening primrose oil
1 teaspoon argan oil
1 teaspoon camelina oil
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
1 teaspoon Calendula Infused Olive Oil (Learn how to make it.)
1.5 ml olive squalane oil
2 ml GMO free Vitamin E oil
2 ml pure rosewood essential oil
1/2 teaspoon fractionated coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon grapeseed oil

 Supplies:

digital kitchen scale
8 empty 10 ml (1/3 oz.) lip balm pots with lids
glass measuring cup
metal utensil for stirring
graduate plastic transfer pipettes
8 3″ x 4″ clear poly zipper bags
8.5″ x 11″ full page sticker label sheet

Directions:

Begin by measuring out the waxes into a glass pyrex measuring cup and heat at reduced power in a microwave (or alternately you can use a double boiler) until melted about halfway through. Next, weigh out the butters using a digital kitchen scale and add to the partially melted waxes. Continue heating in the microwave until all ingredients are melted. Carefully remove the container – it will be hot so use a pot holder! – then measure out the all of the oils except for the olive squalane oil, vitamin E and rosewood essential oil with teaspoon and half teaspoon measurements and stir into the wax and butter mixture. Finally, using a different graduated plastic transfer pipette for the remaining ingredients, measure out the olive squalane oil, vitamin E oil and rosewood essential oil and stir into the mixture.

Now simply pour approximately .33 oz. of the liquid under eye cream into each of the eight lip balm pots. Allow to cool, then cap tightly. Each container of this nourishing eye cream will cost approximately $4 to make (including the cost of the container) depending on where you source the ingredients. The initial start up cost for this recipe, will be much higher as many of the ingredients need to be purchased in quantities larger than necessary for eight containers.

To use this natural under eye cream, simply apply under and around the eye area at night. It can be reapplied in the morning and worn under makeup as well. This product has the consistency of a salve so little goes a long way! It also makes a nice base for applying eye makeup and giving your eyeshadow that extra needed staying power! It’s also great for spot treatment of patches of dry skin and eczema. As with any product, if irritation develops, discontinue use immediately.

Packed Handmade Under Eye Cream

If you are gifting or sharing this product, you can place each container inside of a poly zipper bag and label with my printable labels. {Download labels here.} The labels come in both black and white (page 1) and color (page 2) and have “Handmade Natural Nourishing Under Eye Cream” written on them. And, as another new season of The Walking Dead is set to start soon, I’ve also included a page of labels with “Handmade Zombie Prevention Under Eye Cream” (page 3) printed on them. To print your labels, simply choose the page of labels you want to use and print that page only onto a blank, full page sticker sheet. A printable version of the original recipe (page 4) is also included. (This recipe was adapted as some ingredients were no longer readily available.)

Once you print your labels of choice, simply cut them out, remove the backing and apply to the outside of the packaging. (Labels are for personal use only.)
