Easy DIY Natural Lavender Dryer Sachets - Adds a Fresh Natural Fragrance to LaundryWant to give your laundry a fresh natural lavender fragrance the easy and natural way? Then craft a simple, new sew DIY Lavender Sachet for your dryer! It’s so easy to make. Simply fill a 4″ x 6″ cotton muslin bag with lavender flowers, add a few drops of lavender essential oil, then tightly knot the bag closed.

To use, simply toss the bag into the dryer with each load of laundry. Linens and clothing will come out of the dryer with a light, lavender scent. If the fragrance diminishes over time, simply add more essential oil to the bag. You can do this by applying the oil to the outside of the bag so you don’t have to struggle to open the knotted bag.

Don’t like lavender? Try other natural flowers and essential oil blends. Or try lavender flowers with natural citronella or lemongrass essential oil in the summer to help deter biting insects while you’re enjoying the great outdoors!

DIY Lavender Sachet - Easy Handmade Lavender Sachet Tutorial

Keep your drawers and linen closets smelling fresh with this easy craft project for creating a simple DIY Lavender Sachet!

For this project I used a Premium 2.75″x4″ Cotton Muslin Bag from State Line Bag Co. and organic lavender flowers and organic lavender essential oil from Mountain Rose Herbs. (You can use these certified organic lavender flowers not only in sachets but also in teas, tinctures, and baked goods as well!)

To make my sachet, I simply filled the muslin bag three quarters of the way full with lavender flowers. I then added a few drops of lavender essential oil to the flowers and then closed the bag by pulling the drawstring tightly on the bag.

Your lavender sachet is now complete! Although if you like you can dress up your bag by drawing a design in permanent marker or fabric paint or by sewing on a button and ribbon before you fill it up. If the scent of your lavender sachet fades over time, simply open and add a few more drops of lavender sachet to re-freshen!
