Then, using a large spoon, scoop your milk bath into cotton muslin bags. I use two 5″x7″ premium cotton muslin bags from Stateline Bag Co. to gift. Recipients can scoop out the desired amount from each bag and add to hot, running bath water. To gift as favors or single use bags, add milk bath mix to smaller bags. In this instance, recipients would add entire bag to hot, running bath water to use.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup colloidal oatmeal
1/2 Cup powdered goat milk
1 Cup baking soda
1 Cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch
1 Cup coarse sea salt
1/2 Cup Epsom salt
2 rounded Tablespoons shea butter (or sal butter)
3 Tablespoons fragrance oil of choice (or 1 1/2 Tablespoons essential oil)

Instructions:

For this sea salt and goat milk bath recipe you will need to measure out all of your ingredients.

Begin by measuring out the shea butter into a large glass Pyrex measuring cup. Melt the shea butter at reduced power in the microwave. (Alternately you can use a double boiler.)

Using a measuring spoon, measure out your fragrance and stir into the melted shea butter.

Now measure out your dry ingredients. Stir the cornstarch into the melted shea butter until all the oil is absorbed. Next, add the baking soda, goat milk powder, and colloidal oatmeal. Mix well.

Finally, stir in the Epsom salt and sea salt and mix well to thoroughly incorporate all the ingredients.

Scoop the sea salt and goat milk bath into 8oz. BPA free low profile containers.

This sea salt and bath milk recipe will yield approximately four 8oz. containers with each container holding about 7oz of product by weight and can be used immediately. However, be sure to keep this in a cool location – or refrigerated – as the goat milk soap can curdle if left in extreme heat.
