Make your lips shine with these recipes for lip gloss!
Milk & Honey Lip Balm

Lemon Lip Gloss

Recipe compliments of Spa Index.
1 tsp Honey
1 T Vitamin E Oil
1 tsp. of Aloe Vera
2 tsp of grated beeswax
1 T pure almond extract
6 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
Melt beeswax, remove from heat and while constantly stirring – Add honey, Aloe Vera, Almond extract, Vitamin E. Add the Lemon essential oil last.

Camphor Lip Gloss

12g beeswax
6g cocoa butter
1/4 cup camphorated oil
2 capsules vitamin E oil
1/2 teaspoon glycerin
5 drops Carrot Essential Oil
Melt the beeswax and cocoa butter together for about 8 minutes on high in your microwave, or over the stove using a double boiler, stirring occasionally. Once melted, add the camphorated oil. Then pierce the vit E capsules and squeeze the oil into mixture. Finally, beat in the glycerin and carrot essential oil ingredients in while still hot. Pour into containers and allow to cool completely.

Cranberry Lip Gloss

Protect sensitive lips from the drying winter elements with this simple yet rich lip balm. Delightful to wear alone or on top of your lipstick for extra shine!
1 Tbsp. sweet almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 tsp. honey
1 drop vitamin E oil
Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for two minutes or until the mixture just begins to boil. (Bowl may also be heated in a pan of water on a stovetop). Stir well and gently crush the berries. Cool mixture for five minutes and then strain through a fine sieve to remove all the fruit pieces. Stir again and set aside to cool completely. When cool, transfer into a small portable plastic container or tin.
Apply a small amount onto your lips and remember to smile!

Honey Lime Lip Gloss

7-8 tsp. sweet almond oil
2 tsp. beeswax
Vitamin E capsule
1 tsp. honey
5 drops lime flavoring or essential oil
Small container with lid
Miscellaneous items: microwave- safe bowl, microwave, straight pin, wire whisk, spoon
  1. Melt the oil and beeswax in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Remove the mixture from the microwave. Pierce the vitamin E capsule with the straight pin and whisk the contents of the capsule, honey, and flavoring into the mixture until it is set.
  3. Spoon the finished lip gloss into the small container.

    I love my at home lip balm. My reciepe has been much simpler with just beeswax olive oil and peppermint extract but I’m going to try it with coconut oil and grapes red oil I think. The skins extract founds like a great ingredient!!! Thanks for the post.
