I love the new packaging for the new hydrosols (flower waters) from Mountain Rose Herbs! The apothecary style labels on beautiful amber glass give these products a fabulous look and can be upcycled to use again later in your own projects after the contents have been used.
Hydrosols are produced by steam distilling plant material and offer similar properties to their essential oil counterparts, but in a less concentrated from. They offer a mild and subtle aroma that is reminiscent of the whole plant rather than just the flower used in distillation process as they contain the water soluble constituents of the plant material that are not found in essential oils.
Pictured here is their organic Lavender Hydrosol which ideal for oily and combination skin. It also makes an excellent coolant for minor burns, rashes, and hot sores and is suitable for both food and cosmetic use.
