Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups powdered goat milk
1/2 Cup Epsom salt
1/8 Cup baking soda
1/2 Cup Colloidal oatmeal
1/4 Cup Organic Calendula petals or flowers
1/4 Cup Organic lavender flowers

Instructions:

To make this homemade milk recipe, begin by measuring out your ingredients using a measuring cup. Combine the ingredients in a glass bowl then mix well. You want all of the ingredients to be thoroughly incorporated with one another.

Then, using a large spoon, scoop your milk bath into cotton muslin bags. I use two 5″x7″ premium cotton muslin bags from Stateline Bag Co. to gift. Recipients can scoop out the desired amount from each bag and add to hot, running bath water. To gift as favors or single use bags, add milk bath mix to smaller bags. In this instance, recipients would add entire bag to hot, running bath water to use.

Now all you need to do is pull the bag tightly closed using the drawstrings. Be sure to store in a cool, dry location between uses.

This milk bath recipe is made from natural, organic ingredients and contains no added fragrances making it perfect for sensitive skin users. To add fragrance to your milk bath, simply add several drops of organic essential oil to each individually sized bath bag. You can find many of the ingredients your need for this homemade milk bath at Mountain Rose Herbs.

DIY Bath Tea + Salt Soak Recipe - Easy DIY Bath Beauty + Spa Project
Need a quick DIY gift idea for a party or wedding favors? Then whip up these simple DIY Organic Bath Tea and Salt Soaks! The recipe for this bath tea and salt soak is made from all natural, organic ingredients so it’s great for your skin! Recipients will love this gift that offers a luxury spa experience at home!
DIY Hand Stamped Cotton Muslin Bags for Gifts or Party and Wedding Favors
Your first step is to create the bags for your bath tea and salt soak. To do this, you’ll need a rubber stamp of your choice, a permanent pigment ink pad, and some drawstring muslin cotton bags like the ones from State Line Bag Co. I used three 3.25″x5″ muslin bags for this project. Simply press the stamp onto the ink pad and then onto your bags for quick and easy decorative favor or gift bags. Now that you bags are finished, you just need to fill them up! Following is the recipe for making a wonderful blend of herbs and salts! I used certified organic ingredients from Mountain Rose Herbs for this recipe.
Himalayan Pink Salt and Dead Sea Salt
DIY Organic Bath Tea and Salt Soak Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Epsom salt
Instructions:
For the rest of this project you’ll need one glass container or mixing bowl, three plastic pipettes with mL markings, a long handled spoon, the ingredients for this recipe, a 1/4 measuring cup, 1/8 measuring cup, and three cotton muslin bags with a drawstring closure.
dead sea salt and pink Himalayan salt
Measure out your dead sea salt, Himalayan pink salt and Epsom salt. Pour into a glass container or bowl.

Next, measure out your essential oils using a pipette with mL markings using a different pipette for each oil. Then add your essential oils one at a time to the salts and mix well. (Pictured above: I’ve mixed in my essential oils and just started to mix in the calendula petals.)
salt and herb mixture
Measure out your organic herbs and them into the salt mixture. Stir well so that they are thoroughly incorporated.
DIY Bath Tea and Salt Soak Recipe - Organic Spa Treatment
Now spoon your bath tea and salt soak mixture into your decorated muslin bags. Keep stirring the bath tea and salt soak with a spoon as you go so the salts don’t all settle to the bottom. This way each bag will have an even mixture of salts and herbs.
DIY Bath Tea and Salt Soak Recipe Gift and Wedding Favor Project Idea
Once you fill your bags simply pull the strings on the muslin bag tightly to close. To use, simply place one bag under running, hot bath water. This recipe yields approximately 9.5 oz. of bath tea and salt soak by weight. (Note: If you won’t be using these right away or are giving as wedding favors or gifts, I recommend that you enclose the bath tea and salt soaks inside poly zip bags first, then place the bag inside the decorated muslin bag. This way the essential oils from the bath tea and salt soak won’t seep through the bag.)
This Organic Bath Tea and Salt Soak is perfect not only for favors but as gifts for birthdays and Mother’s Day as well as stocking stuffers!

Ingredients:

2 oz. Organic Cocoa Butter (by weight)
2 oz. Organic Shea Butter (by weight)
1/2 teaspoon pure beeswax (or up to 1 teaspoon in warmer climates) or 1/4 teaspoon (or up to 1/2 teaspoon in warmer climates) organic carnuba wax (vegan alternative)
1 teaspoon organic lavender flowers
1 teaspoon organic chamomile flowers
12 drops organic lavender essential oil
12 drops organic lemongrass essential oil

Instructions:

For my organic lemon lavender bath melts recipe you’ll need a digital scale that weighs in ounces, a long handled plastic spoon, a glass pyrex container, a teaspoon measure (cup), an ice cube tray, and your ingredients.

First measure out one level half teaspoon of beeswax pellets or 1/4 tsp. of carnauba wax and place into a glass pyrex container. (Note that using up to 1 teaspoon of beeswax in order to keep solidity in warmer climates may make these more difficult to melt in bath water.)

Then weigh out 2 oz. each of cocoa butter and shea butter. Combine these ingredients in a glass container with your wax. Heat in the microwave at 50% power until full melted. (Use a pot holder when removing the glass container from the microwave as it will get very hot.) Stir. Add your essential oils.

Measure out 1 teaspoon of chamomile flowers and 1 teaspoon of lavender flowers.

Add the chamomile and lavender flowers to your melted butter and wax mixture and stir well.

Pour your liquid bath melt mixture into a clean, dry ice cube tray. It will serve as a simple and inexpensive mold as well as make removal of the bath melts from the molds a snap! Place the ice cube tray in the freezer until bath melts have fully solidified.

Once your organic lemon lavender bath melts have solidified, remove the ice cube tray from the freezer. Now simply twist the tray the same as you would ice to remove the bath melts. This recipe will yield five evenly sized bath melts. You can store these in a decorative 7 oz. glass pantry jar or an 8 oz. white plastic jar.

To use simply add one bath melt under hot running water to your bath. Alternatively, you can place one bath melt inside a small cotton muslin bag and add to hot bath while water is still running. Store in a cool, dry location. Materials for this project were purchased at Mountain Rose Herbs.
