Yum, yum, yum! Here are two bath and body recipes that make a fabulous gift when paired. Try your hand at crafting a handmade glycerin chocolate and orange soap and an exfoliating chocolate and orange sugar scrub with real coffee grounds. (You can purchase ingredients for these projects at Mountain Rose Herbs.)

Chocolate & Orange Soap

8 oz. melt and pour glycerin soap
1 tablespoon dark organic cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
5 teaspoons almond extract
40 drops orange essential oils
Cut glycerin soap into cubes. Melt in the microwave on high in 20-30 second increments, stirring gently in between heatings, until fully melted. Allow to cool slightly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into molds and allow to cool.

Chocolate & Orange Brown Sugar Coffee Scrub

1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon freshly ground coffee beans
1 tablespoon finely chopped hazelnuts
2 teaspoons almond oil
2 teaspoons jojoba oil
2 teaspoons olive oil
8 drops of orange essential oil
8 drops of chocolate fragrance oil
dash of cinnamon
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and mix well. Keep sealed in an airtight container in the refridgerator when not in use. To use, take a scoop of the scrub and gently massage in circular motions over your body. Avoid face and neck. Rinse well.

  1. This sounds awesome, coffee, orange and chocolate. Will have to try it! I may play around with cocoa butter instead of fragrance oil. Thank you!
