DIY Lavender Sachet – Plus Other Great Ways to Use Organic Lavender Flowers
Keep your drawers and linen closets smelling fresh with this easy craft project for creating a simple DIY Lavender Sachet!
For this project I used a Premium 2.75″x4″ Cotton Muslin Bag from State Line Bag Co. and organic lavender flowers and organic lavender essential oil from Mountain Rose Herbs. (You can use these certified organic lavender flowers not only in sachets but also in teas, tinctures, and baked goods as well!)
To make my sachet, I simply filled the muslin bag three quarters of the way full with lavender flowers. I then added a few drops of lavender essential oil to the flowers and then closed the bag by pulling the drawstring tightly on the bag.
Your lavender sachet is now complete! Although if you like you can dress up your bag by drawing a design in permanent marker or fabric paint or by sewing on a button and ribbon before you fill it up. If the scent of your lavender sachet fades over time, simply open and add a few more drops of lavender sachet to re-freshen!
You can find even more great DIY project ideas for using lavender – and everything else! – on my Pinterest boards. I’d love to have you as a follower! What are your favorite ways to use lavender blossoms?
