Homemade After Shower Spray + Window Cleaner! This homemade after shower spray and window cleaner is a wonderful natural, non-toxic way to clean your bathroom and other home surfaces! It requires as few as three simple ingredients and can be customized with your preferred essential oil or essential oil blend.

I’ve been making all of my household cleaners as of late and have been very pleased with the results. One of my favorites – which makes cleaning my shower a lot simpler – is my homemade after shower spray. Not only does it keep my shower clean and help keep mold and mildew away – my bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan and it’s too cold right now to open windows – but it also works beautifully as a window cleaner. I use it on my mirrors and there are no streaks!

Following is my recipe for making your own homemade after shower spray.

Homemade After Shower Spray + Window Cleaner

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon Original Dawn Dish Liquid or Organic Liquid Castile Soap
Distilled white vinegar
1 mL lemon essential oil
1 mL lime peel essential oil

Directions:

Using a clean, empty spray bottle – I recycle my Method cleaner spray bottles – add approximately one tablespoon of Dawn dish liquid to the bottle. If you prefer to opt for an all natural spray, simply substitute a natural liquid Castile soap. Using a funnel fill the bottle just over three fourths of the way full with white vinegar. Add a mL each of lemon and lime essential oils, then screw on the lid and shake well.To use, simply spray on your shower walls and tub after every shower to help keep it clean and mildew free! Or use it on mirrors and windows to clean without streaks.

Are the essential oils necessary or are they for the scent?

The eo’s help to cut grease and grime and prevent mildew and mold. The scent is just a bonus.

I’d like to try this shower spray and window cleaner. I purchased 30 ml bottles of the lemon and lime essential oils. Can you give me some idea how many drops would equal 1 ml? Thank you!

I do not know. You can take off the dropper from the bottle and use a graduated plastic transfer pipette to simply measure it out.

20 drops in a ml–that is based on water which is less dense than oils
