DIY Handmade Face Cream Recipe with Printable Labels
Want a light homemade face cream that you can make yourself without a lot of complicated steps? Then give this moisturizing face cream with white tea extract a try. A DIY kit for this project can be purchased from Wholesale Supplies Plus or you can buy the ingredients and containers separately. It’s simple to craft and luxurious to use!
This recipe from Wholesale Supplies Plus combines Vitamin E rich Crafters Choice™ Gentle Face and Baby Cream with water soluble white tea extract which is believed to have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. The addition of Cyclomethicone gives this light weight lotion a silky feel, while tapioca starch makes the lotion feel smooth and soft. A wonderful white tea fragrance then rounds off this beauty recipe perfectly like icing on a cake! (This recipe is free of phthalates and parabens.)
Handmade White Tea Face Cream Recipe
Place the gentle face and baby cream base into a glass bowl using a spatula. Next, using a digital kitchen scale, weigh out the white tea extract and add to the lotion base. Then use a plastic pipette to measure out the Cyclomethicone and a teaspoon to measure out the tapioca starch and add to the lotion. Follow with a whisk to thoroughly incorporate the ingredients into the cream. Finally, measure out the fragrance oil with your second transfer pipette and add to the cream. Mix well.
Now all that’s left to do is to fill your containers with 1.5 oz. by weight of product. Place your empty bottle on the scale, tare, then add 1.5 oz. of product. Continue until all 11 bottles have been filled, then cap and label.
To print your labels, simply download the pdf file for the free printable labels, choose the label you’d like to print between two color options or black and white, then print two copies of your label choice onto full page sticker sheets or paper. Cut out the individual labels then apply them to each of your bottles by wrapping them around the jar. If you are using paper, you will need to tape the label on at the back of the label where the edges overlap.
You can customize your labels with your own information by stamping or applying a sticker to the back of the label. If you are making these as homemade gifts you can add a seasonal message here or you can add names and a date if they are being made as bridesmaid or wedding favors. Optionally, you can also print out the black and white labels and color them in with permanent markers, like I did, to reflect the colors of the season or event. Have fun!
