Every year my neighbor at the end of the block decorates her house for Halloween. She starts planning in summer and on October 1st she starts decorating. This year she created some new spooky outdoor DIY Halloween decorations to add to her existing outdoor Halloween decor. These fantastic handcrafted tentacles were one of those new additions.
To create these tentacles my neighbor used pool noodles – genius, right?! – duct tape, zip ties, burlap and spray paint. First they taped three pool noodles together then they zip tied the egg cartons onto the pool noodles to form the “suckers.” Finally they wrapped burlap around the noodles and then they used spray paint in a variety of colors to give the tentacles life. Of course then they also needed a few random body parts like hands and feet warning you to keep your distance.
Here are some of the other DIY Halloween decorations they created.
