Natural Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe
This natural peppermint foot cream recipe is made with natural shea butter, a proven moisturizer and skin protectant, peppermint essential oil to refresh your feet and anti-fungal tea tree oil to keep your tootsies in tip top shape. In addition it also contains cocoa butter, sunflower oil and pomegranate seed oil.
This natural peppermint foot cream recipe is very easy to make yet will yield professional results. Apply at night and cover with socks for extra skin softening power. You can also add a small amount of lanolin to this peppermint foot cream recipe if desired for extra protection for severely dry or cracked feet. Alternately you can also try subbing the peppermint essential oil with a lesser amount of menthol crystals for a truly cooling sensation.
So what is shea butter?
Shea butter is a natural fat that is extracted from the fruit of the Karite Tree found in West Africa and has been used for centuries in Africa for its moisturizing and healing properties as well as to protect and condition damaged skin. Pomegranate seed oil is a deeply penetrating oil derived from the cold pressed organic seeds of pomegranate fruit. In addition pomegranate seed oil contains high levels of anti-oxidants known to fight free radicals and skin aging. It is also a potent source of punicic and ellagic acids. How is sunflower oil beneficial?

You’ll need to weigh all of your ingredients for this natural peppermint foot cream recipe so you will need a digital scale. Begin by weighing out both the cocoa butter and shea butter and heat until melted in either a double boiler on the stove or at reduced power in the microwave.
Once the butters have melted, weigh out the remaining ingredients and stir into the melted butters. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are incorporated throughout the peppermint foot cream then pour into a 6 oz. glass or plastic jar. Carefully screw on the lid of your jar then set in the fridge to cool until the peppermint foot cream has completely solidified.
